Maja Kuzmanovic
Dr. Maja Kuzmanovic (born February 13, 1985, in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Hospital Pharmacy of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica (JU KBZ). She completed her primary and secondary education in Zenica and graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo, earning the title of Master of Pharmacy.
After completing her internship and passing the professional licensing exam, she began her professional career at the pharmaceutical wholesale company Medimpex d.o.o. Since 2013, she has been working at the Hospital Pharmacy of JU KBZ. In 2017, she defended her specialist thesis entitled “The Role of the Clinical Pharmacist in Oncology Pharmacy” and passed the specialist examination in Clinical Pharmacy. Since then, she has been practicing as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, with a strong focus on oncology pharmacy. She actively participates in the conduct of clinical trials in oncology, pulmonology, and gastroenterology, contributing to the optimization of pharmacotherapy and improvement of patient care.
Dr. Kuzmanovic enrolled in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo, in the 2014/2015 academic year and obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in June 2022.
She is actively involved in professional organizations at both national and international levels. She serves as a delegate representing Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Society of Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP) and the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP). She is also a member of the Medicines Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Ethics Committee of JU KBZ, and serves as President of the Commission for Education, Validation, and Accreditation of Professional Lectures within the Chamber of Master Pharmacists of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
