Marina Markidou

I am a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Oncology Pharmacy. For the past 10 years, I have been working as the Director of the Pharmacy Department at the German Oncology Center.
I have a total of 11 years of professional experience in hospital pharmacy practice and 14 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist. Throughout my career, I have worked within the Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, and I have also served as a Lecturer at European University of Cyprus.
At the German Oncology Center, our pharmacy team consists of 8 members, including 4 pharmacists and 4 pharmacy assistants, working together to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.

Stavroula Theophanous-Kitiri

I am a Clinical Pharmacist and CEO of The Breast Center of Cyprus, actively involved in oncology care, patient safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration. My professional journey has been shaped by a strong commitment to improving outcomes for cancer patients through evidence-based practice and integrated care models.
Working within a specialized breast center, I contribute to a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach, where clinical decision-making is optimized through collaboration between surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and allied health professionals. My role focuses on ensuring safe and effective pharmacotherapy, supporting personalized treatment plans, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

I have a particular interest in oncology therapeutics, pain management, and supportive care, with an emphasis on optimizing treatment adherence and minimizing toxicity. Through my participation in international scientific meetings and collaborations, I remain engaged with the latest developments in oncology pharmacy and strive to translate this knowledge into clinical practice.
As a candidate for ESOP delegate, I am motivated to represent my country and contribute actively to the advancement of oncology pharmacy across Europe. I strongly believe in the importance of sharing best practices, strengthening professional networks, and promoting harmonization in oncology care standards.
My goal is to support ESOP’s mission by fostering collaboration, encouraging education, and advocating for the critical role of oncology pharmacists within multidisciplinary teams. I am committed to contributing with integrity, enthusiasm, and a forward-thinking perspective to help shape the future of oncology pharmacy in Europe
