Kazuo Kobayashi
Kazuo Kobayashi, Ph.D., is a hospital pharmacist specializing in oncology pharmacy practice and clinical research. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Kyoritsu University of Pharmacy in 2007 and completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Keio University in 2009. In the same year, he joined the Department of Pharmacy at Cancer Institute Hospital, Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research, where he has been engaged in oncology pharmacotherapy, chemotherapy management, and clinical research.
In 2016, he enrolled in the doctoral program in the Division of Biopharmaceutics, Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Showa University, focusing on pharmacokinetics and oncology-related pharmaceutical sciences. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2021.
Since 2019, he has served as Chief Pharmacist in the Department of Pharmacy at Cancer Institute Hospital, JFCR. In this role, he leads the injection preparation unit and contributes to the development of safe chemotherapy management systems, occupational exposure prevention, and pharmacist-led clinical services. His work also includes the implementation of protocol-based pharmacotherapy management and multidisciplinary collaboration in cancer care.
Dr. Kobayashi is actively involved in clinical research focusing on supportive care, anticancer drug safety, and real-world evidence in oncology. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and participates in national and international academic collaborations. In addition to his research activities, he is committed to pharmacist education, professional development, and international exchange programs aimed at strengthening the role of pharmacists in cancer care.

Shinya Suzuki
Shinya Suzuki, Ph.D. BCOP, is the chief and clinical pharmacist at the National Cancer Hospital East in Japan. After completing his residency, he became a board-certified oncology pharmacist with the Japanese Society of Hospital Pharmacists (JSHP) and the Japanese Society of Pharmaceutical Health Care and Sciences (JSPHCS). Shinya has served as Chairman of the International Committee and a Board Member of the Japanese Society of Pharmaceutical Oncology (JASPO), which has over 6,000 members.
