As a founding member of the National Association of Oncology Pharmacists in Romania, I encourage all ANFOR members to get involved as much as possible in ANFOR _ESOP activities, both for theoretical and practical professional development.
ANFOR was created out of a need for professional development and knowledge sharing, as well as adaptation to international standards. We will continue on this path as long as we all need and want to develop professionally.
The special support we receive from ESOP allows us to develop professionally and make our work more efficient, while complying with international standards, which Romania is still far from meeting.
Every year, we strive to create a program tailored to everyone’s needs, which is why we need ESOP through high-quality continuing education, guidelines, and continuous development of practices in all areas of oncology pharmacy.

Education and training
1992-1997- University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj- Faculty of Pharmacy – Bachelor’s degree
1989-1992- University, Cluj Napoca Faculty of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry – specialization in Chemistry-Physics_ Bachelor’s degree
From 1997 to 2017, I worked for 20 years at Sandoz Pharmaceutical in various roles ( Area Sales Manager, Key Account Representative Oncology Hematology and Quality System Manager).
Since 2018, I have been working at the Medisprof Cancer Center clinic as a marketing specialist, but I am also involved in social projects that I manage in terms of organizing budgeting/financial reporting, communication, fundraising and promotion within the three associations founded by the Udrea family (who also founded the Medisprof clinic): the National Association of Oncology Pharmacists in Romania, the Medisprof Association and the Volunteer Patients Association.
At ANFOR, I dedicate my time to organizing courses for oncology pharmacists, from scheduling to enrolling participants in professional training courses, collecting registration and membership fees, issuing invoices, and preparing financial reports for the board of directors and the General Assembly.
I maintain relations with the National College of Pharmacists in Romania, which accredits these courses as continuing pharmaceutical education.
I encourage ANFOR members to get involved in volunteer projects within ESOP (both in working groups and in completing the EUSOP program).
Laura Veronica Budau
Hello, my name is Laura Budau, 1 am from Romania, and I am an active member of
ESOP since 2022. My fields of interest are clinical pharmacy in oncology and oral
chemotherapy, among the other usual topics that an oncologist phamiacist should be
familiar with (aseptic technique, organization of the clean room, management of hazards
in pharmacy and on the oncology ward). l’m contributing to Clinical Pharmacy and Oral
Chemotherapy WG and l look forward to contibute to the growth of ESOP in the next 3
years by national and international involvement.
