Oral Cancer Drugs
The Working Group (WG) “Oral Cancer Drugs” was established in 2022. We aim to increase medication safety and adherence in patients receiving oral cancer drugs. We want to enhance pharmaceutical counseling by exchanging experience and knowledge on an international level. The WG meets online approximately every three months.
Current activities:
- Survey on the global status quo of oral tumor therapeutics
- Questions about healthcare system, dispensing oral cancer drugs, medication analysis
- Goal: identifying key issues for future projects
- In preparation: publication of results
- Patient information leaflets about oral cancer drugs
- Development of a standardized template (patient friendly language, focus on relevant information)
- Goal: ensuring/facilitating high-quality pharmaceutical counseling
- Open source access to the English template, drug specific leaflets as well as translations in many languages (continually updated)
