- Compliance with the adopted procedure
The election process was conducted in line with the procedure adopted by the General Assembly on 30 January 2026. The Election Committee acted within its defined mandate at all times. - Availability of membership data
At the start of the election process, no complete membership list including individual email addresses had been provided by PEFNI. In order to ensure that all eligible members could exercise their voting rights, ESOP had to establish direct communication with individual members. - Extension of the nomination period
Following written communications from members stating that they had not been sufficiently informed about their membership rights—particularly the right to nominate candidates—the Election Committee decided to extend the nomination period by two weeks. This measure was taken in good faith to safeguard equal participation and inclusiveness. The election timeline was adjusted accordingly. - Assessment of the alleged irregularities
The Committee finds that the extension of the nomination period does not constitute a violation of the applicable rules. Rather, it represents a proportionate and necessary measure to ensure that all eligible members were able to exercise their rights. No evidence has been identified that would compromise the integrity or validity of the election outcome. - Conclusion on the validity of the election
The Election Committee concludes that the elections were conducted properly, transparently, and in accordance with ESOP regulations. The objections raised do not provide sufficient grounds to annul or repeat the election.
Recommendation to the ESOP Board
Based on the above findings, the Election Committee recommends that the ESOP Board formally confirm the election results and appoint the elected candidates as national delegates for Greece.
In accordance with ESOP procedures, this recommendation will now be submitted to the Board for decision.

Statement on Membership Recognition – ESOP Elections 2026
During preparation of the 2026 elections of the European Society for Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP), the Election Committee was informed that several professionals in Greece had not received election-related information through their national professional structure.
After reviewing the circumstances and the documentation provided, the Election Committee assessed the situation in accordance with the ESOP statutes and election regulations.
On 02 March 2026, the Committee decided to implement a limited and clearly defined exceptional measure: individuals who confirm in writing that they did not receive proper election information, who recognize the statutes and objectives of ESOP, and who promptly pay their membership fee may be recognized as members with voting rights upon confirmation of payment.
Approved by the Executive Board of Directors, 02nd March 2026
This decision is based solely on the specific documented circumstances and does not establish a general precedent.
ESOP remains committed to transparency, equal treatment, and the integrity of its electoral processes.
